The Role of economic inequality in maintaining social injustice and environmental sustainability.

It all begins with an idea.

I have the opportunity to study an unequal and unjust world without equality and equity. It is in addition to climate change and concepts such as economic inequality, social justice, and environmental sustainability. I am confronting a political imbalance between sustainability and social justice. Jeopardizing the interests of the poor and marginalized groups has resulted in exclusion, unsustainability, inequity, and a lack of privilege, rather than fostering sustainability and inclusion. The central principle in issues like food production is the inevitable criticism of endless uncertainty, which arises from opposition to engagement with social justice.

There is a need to emphasize the importance of bringing social justice to the fight for sustainability. In contrast, social justice advocates increasing ideas of sustainability on the agenda of the environment and politics. How do we reconcile physical sustainability, the need for satisfaction, and equal opportunities within and between generations? In discussing sustainability and social justice obstacles, I will use the examples of food production and farming, varieties of seeds, food choices, the impact of technology, terminator, biotech, etc., on food. Why are we using modes of technology to modify or terminate crops, which seem to mark a major turning point in the history of farming through destruction?

SCHOOLING AND COVID-19

Food for thought

Think about the styles or changes you'd like to see in yourself and the world.

Be truthful with yourself, and think of the kind of healthy lifestyle you want to live and follow.

Take time each day to sit quietly, listen, and connect with yourself and your surroundings.

To connect to the higher being, or Allah, read spiritual books, such as the Bible and Quran, to find ways and how you can connect to him.

Think of others who can help you focus and unite your mind and body.

You can start doing what is right. Do not follow friends because you want to belong.

You might believe that you are receiving support, but keep in mind that not all forms of support result in positive outcomes.

Do not be afraid to talk to others whom you feel are authentic, which could lead you to the right place; listen to their meaningful experiences, which might help you in your spiritual journey.

Some people around you might tell you to stop what you are about to do and stick to your journey to spirituality. You are about yourself. Live a purposeful life and find meaning. Live a good and memorable life, not a frustrated one. Try not to live a life full of regret, which will cause your family and your loved ones heartbreak. Of course, the last thing you want is to cause harm to someone you love. Be bold and develop good self-esteem so that no one will want to turn you around. Be yourself by knowing more about yourself, and remember that people could react in different ways to what you are doing. Be strong, make a big step, and take the lead in your life. Get to know your own likes, values, and principles. To avoid feeling negatively impacted, consider what others say from a different perspective. Always check out your own negative thoughts. Use your right mind; always look at the positive side of life; and do not allow harmful teachings to destroy your life. Always change the negative thoughts going on in your mind to positive ones by assessing your self-talk. Be aware of how you adjust to your state of mind, what irritates you, and what causes you pain. There are different signs; be aware of them and tune in positively.

Good luck in life!

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a significant disruption in education systems throughout human history, impacting learners, teachers, and school administrators, leading to the closure of schools and various learning spaces. COVID-19 has impacted the student population and disrupted traditional educational practices, resulting in many schools and higher education institutions discontinuing face-to-face teaching. These led to innovation, the implementation of an alternative education system, and assessment strategies for digital learning. The various challenges range from a “major economic downturn, job losses, widespread protests over racial injustice, and the tangible health threat of COVID-19” (Megan et al., 2020).

How will the students, teacher, and parent face such confusion and continuous uncertainty? How can the teacher carry out the assessment? We know that when education systems collapse, peace, prosperous and productive societies cannot be sustained. Therefore, urgent action from all is required to prevent a learning crisis from becoming a generational catastrophe. To combat the pandemic challenge, we have implemented numerous standards like social distancing and restrictive movement policies, which have significantly disrupted traditional educational practices. The sudden and incredibly challenging nature of the pandemic necessitated significant changes in many aspects of life. The hardship affected both the poor and the wealthy in a different capacity. The newcomers, Indigenous groups, people with disabilities, and racialized families are worse off in one way or another.

Recommendation

The teaching profession needs better training in new methods of education delivery and maintaining continuity. Controlling the suppression of the virus's transmission is crucial to avert future national and local outbreaks, (assuming there are any genuine ... ) Schools have the opportunity to re-assess what is best for young people and promote health literacy, healthy habits, and awareness of risky behaviour. These should not be underestimated. Not only should the students' behaviours be impacted by knowledge-based health cultures, but families and communities should also be included.  Once the restriction lifts, we should monitor school dropouts closely. With all this, cooperative learning is necessary if the students can collaborate. Students can participate in various activities, including small working groups, storytelling, role-playing, audio and virtual labs, arts, music, and dance, as they connect with offline activities.

Conclusion

The prolonged period of closure and online learning will have a significant impact on student achievement. Students are returning to school and adjusting to different academic skills. Therefore, teachers need to be ready to assist students who are falling behind academically and experiencing disruptions in their learning due to the crisis. These changes in teaching and learning methodologies have consequences for education. To unleash the potential of individuals' collective fulfillment in all areas of students' lives through education investment, we need an inclusive change in education delivery. This will enable children and youth to regain their full potential and secure their promised futures. All stakeholders in education should strive to implement these changes; there are still essential education services, fundamental aspirations, untapped resources, and unlimited potential for all students to benefit from.
